What Is the Longest Vehicle in the World?
Perhaps you thought that some of the huge tractor trailors on the road today were the longest you’d ever seen, but even the longest of those measures only about 52 feet long.
Imagine, if you can, more than eleven of those long tractor trailers, one behind the other, and you will come up with the longest vehicle in the world. This is the U.S. Army Overland Train, a 572 foot-long truck that is used to transport rockets or other big objects.
This truck weighs 450 tons, has 54 wheels, and 4 engines. Just imagine the gas bill when this monster has to fuel up its 7828-gallon tank, especially at today’s gas prices!
