I can tell you that Verkhoyansk is also known as having the greatest range of temperature from -68C (-90F) in the winter to +37C (+99F) in the summer. Almost +/-100F range. My home place, Borogotsy, has even greater range from -66C (-87F) to +42C (+108F). In December 1996 my home town was totally frozen due to one-hour power cut, when the temperature outside was -65C (-85F). I’m from Sakha Republic, Russia, just where the town of Verkhoyansk is.
