Where Is the Highest Waterfall In the United States and How Tall Is Yosemite Falls?

The highest waterfall in the United States is in Yosemite National Park in California.

Yosemite Falls is made up of an upper fall, the middle cascades, and a lower fall totaling 2,425 feet (739 m).

It is the fifth tallest waterfall in the world, as tall as Chicago’s Sears Tower and Paris’s Eiffel Tower combined.

At times of peak flow, about 144,000 gallons, or 545,760 liters of water drop over these falls each minute.

Yosemite National Park also is home to several other beautiful waterfalls, including Bridalvell, Ribbon, Horsetail, and Sentinel Falls.

The park as a whole is about as large as the state of Rhode Island.
