Who Are the World’s Greatest TV Owners?
In the United States, there are about 95 television sets for every 100 persons. Only one other nation has more TVs, in relation to its population, than the United States. In Monaco, there are about 97 TVs for every 100 persons!
This tiny country on the Mediterranean also leads the world in the number of telephones per person, 94 phones for every 100 citizens! And Monaco leads the world in the number of telegrams, dentists, and pharmacists per person, too.
At the other end of the scale, the 10 million people of the African nation of Mozambique own a total of 1,000 television sets. And there are no TV transmitters at all in Mozambique!
