Why Do You Blush?

When you feel embarrassed or upset, tiny blood vessels under the skin in your face and neck grow larger, and more blood flows close to the surface. The skin then has more color in it than usual, and feels warmer because this extra blood brings extra heat along with it.

No one knows exactly why or how this happens. You cannot stop a blush by thinking about it, but it usually goes away by itself in a few moments.
