Why Do You Have Hair?
All mammals have some hair, and man is a mammal. In some mammals, that hair covers the whole body, but in man, it grows only in certain parts.
Your hair has two main purposes on your body: to provide warmth and to protect your skin and body openings. While the hair on an adult’s body is not as thick as on an animal’s body, it does help to keep the air close to his body for warmth.
The hair on your eyebrows and eyelashes, and in your ears and nose helps guard these body cavities against dust and insects.
